A PHILADELPHIA EXHIBITION EGYPTIAN REVIVAL GILT ELECTROPLATED AND CHAMPLEVÉ ENAMELED BRONZE TAZZA, ENGLISH, BY ELKINGTON & CO, 1876,

the oval shallow bowl enclosing an engraved Williamson family armorial with "MODICE AUGETUR MODICUM," within reticulated side handles of the goddess Wadjet flanking winged uraeus pendants above blossoming papyrus branch supports on a pylon form stem centering sides of colorful striding pharaohs alternating panels of stylized lotus, papyrus and palm decoration, raised on a rectangular base with corner maiden busts wearing vulture headdresses, raised on shaped flaring feet joined by pharaonic bearded mask pendants, verso centering an engraved spread winged eagle / 1876 / "PHILAEXHIBITION" banner, above interior side stamped "ELKINGTON & Co" and hallmarked, numbered "9216." Height:12 1/4" Width: 14 1/2" Depth: 8 1/4"    

Condition:

Good to very good condition with normal wear, some expected tarnished areas, a few dings, oxidation spots and surface buildup in areas throughout.
