A PAIR OF MEDIEVAL STYLE BRONZE CHURCH ALTAR PRICKET STICKS, POSSIBLY ITALIAN, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY,

each with a circular crenelated rim on a shallow dish form nozzle centering a candle pricket stick, above a frieze pierced with five hole cross form details, over a triple ringed columnar standard on a spreading circular base enclosing a matching pierced frieze and raised on three recumbent lions on conforming molded plinths. Height: 15 1/4" Diameter: 7 1/4"

Condition:

Good condition with some expected tarnished and oxidized spots, light scratches, some casting flaws and polish residue in crevices throughout. Nicely cast and heavy.
