A LOUIS XVI REVIVAL ORNATELY DETAILED GILT BRONZE MANTLE CLOCK, WORKS BY A.D MOUGIN, 1880-1900,

with a lidded urn surmounted by a conical form floral cluster and flanked by acanthus wrapped scrolling arms ending on stylized greek-key and coiled branches issuing berried laurel leafy stems, on a tête de poupée form case centering a beaded bronze bezel opening to a circular cream colored enamel dial with black Roman chapters and five minute Arabic numerals enclosing blued steel halberd/spear hands over twin key escapements, verso gilt hinged door opening to brass clock works numbered 12817 / 81, impressed pastille "AD. MOUGIN / ✭ / DEUX MÉDAILLES," suspending a pendulum numbered 4506, above a pierced rectangular bowed neck of swirling leafy vines flanked by blossoming acanthus leaves covering scrolled brackets, on a bow front rectangular base centering a rose garland bound quiver of arrows with bow love trophy, above a block form paterae on a berried leaf trimmed tapering rectangular fluted foot flanked by toupie feet, case interior stamped FC four times and 528 thrice. Condition:

Good condition overall with normal light surface scratches, small oxidized spots, bent greek key support left side of urn finial, bezel lacking glass cover, and expected surface buildup throughout. Simpson Galleries does not guarantee any timepiece or clock mechanism.
