the short rectangular pedestal crest surmounted by a seated putto on a balloon form case with gilt maiden's mask suspending acanthus and laurel detailed mounts, over a glazed molding bezel opening to a circular foliate cast dial with blue Roman chapters on white enamel plaques and engraved Arabic five minute numerals, enclosing blue enameled hands over twin key escapements, inlaid throughout in premiere partie scrolling foliage, framing a pendulum glazed window trimmed in leaf tip encadrements and flanking a reticulated "C" scrolled rocaille pendant, raised on splayed curling foliage cast feet.
